About
A shop arranged as a journey, not a shelf
Wegmark is the travel leather brand of HMT Lederwaren Import GmbH, a leather goods importer based in Frankfurt am Main. The name is German: Weg, a way or a path, and Mark, a mark or waypoint. A mark on the road — which is both what a luggage tag does and what this shop is arranged around.

Why a timeline
Most travel shops are organised by product category, which is convenient for the shop and useless for the traveller. Nobody sets out to buy a pouch. They set out because something went wrong last time: the shirt arrived creased, the case came round the belt looking like four other cases, the wash bag had nowhere to stand, the receipts were a ball of paper in a coat pocket.
So this shop is arranged along the trip instead of by category. Five points — Depart, Check-in, In the air, Arrive, Home — and every one of the 44 pieces hangs at the point where it earns its place. If you know what went wrong, you know where to look.
What we sell, precisely
Physical leather travel accessories, sold outright, shipped from Frankfurt am Main. Prices run from €16.00 EUR to €219.00 EUR, in euro, including German VAT.
Three things we deliberately do not do
- We do not sell suitcases or large travel bags. The whole catalogue is accessories, which is why every item is small enough to be judged on its stitching.
- We do not arrange, book or resell travel — no flights, no transport, no accommodation, no tours, no insurance. We are a retailer of physical goods. If you reached us looking for a travel agency, we are not one.
- We do not run a subscription. There is no membership, no monthly box, no store credit and no points scheme. You buy a thing once and it is yours.
Claims we will not make
A lot of travel marketing survives on promises that are not the seller’s to make. We have written ours down so you can hold us to them.
- Nothing here gets you through security. We publish exact external dimensions and internal capacity for every wash bag and clear pouch, and nothing else. Cabin and liquid rules are set by national authorities, airports and carriers; they differ and they change. We never name an airline or an airport, and we never claim compliance with any rule set.
- Straps are not security devices. A luggage strap keeps a packed case shut. We publish a guidance load figure for normal handling and we do not describe any product as preventing theft, tampering or loss.
- Water-repellent is not waterproof. Some items have a repellent finish that survives a shower. None of them are sealed, none of them should be submerged, and the finish wears off.
- Leather is described exactly. Full-grain is called full-grain, top-grain is called top-grain, split leather is called split leather, and the three items in this shop that are not leather say so on their own product pages.
- Reviews are not invented. We publish reviews only from verified purchasers, and where there are none we say there are none rather than show you an average built from nothing.
Luggage tags and your privacy
A luggage tag is a small public notice about you, hanging on a case in a corridor. That is why every Wegmark tag has a privacy flap, ships with blank cards you fill in yourself, and carries a written warning not to put a home address or a document number on it. We do not print, emboss or otherwise process personal data on your behalf under any circumstances — not even if you ask.
