Natural variation. Leather is a hide, not a printed sheet. Grain, tone, healed scars and insect marks vary from piece to piece and no two items are identical. Vegetable-tanned leather darkens with light and handling. None of this is a defect and none of it is grounds for us to reject a withdrawal within the statutory period.

Personalised items — no right of withdrawal

Blind embossing is optional and costs €12.00 EUR. It is limited to 12 characters, Latin letters and spaces only — a name or initials.

We do not emboss telephone numbers, addresses, document numbers, dates of birth or codes. Entries containing digits are rejected by our system.

An embossed item is made to your specification. Under §312g(2)(1) BGB the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to it. You must confirm this separately at checkout before the order can be placed.

Care

Wipe with a dry cloth. Treat two to three times a year with a colourless leather balm. Keep out of prolonged direct sun. Vegetable-tanned leather darkens with light and handling — this is expected and not a defect.

Chemical and sourcing compliance

REACH Annex XVII. Our tanneries certify chromium VI at or below the 3 mg/kg limit for leather articles in contact with skin, and compliance with the azo dye restrictions. Supplier declarations are held on file and are available to authorities on request.
Animal sourcing. Bovine hide sourced as a by-product of the food industry. No CITES-listed species, no exotic skins, no fur.
Allergy note. Tanning agents and dyes can cause contact allergies in a small number of people. We do not claim this product is hypoallergenic. Stop using it and seek advice if you react to it.
Design origin. Original or generic patterns. No third-party logos, monograms or brand-imitating designs of any kind.
